Wiltshire College receives planning permission for new £21m campus in Chippenham

Planning consultancy Turley, acting on behalf of Wiltshire College, has managed to secure planning permission from Wiltshire Council for building a new 9,100 sq m campus in Chippenham, a news report in the local media can report.

The new £21m facilities will primarily focus on supporting growth in vocational training and apprenticeships in engineering, construction and hair and beauty as well as army resettlement.

The campus will be housed in a three-storey building providing a flexible space to meet the demands of students, employers and the community and will include industry standard workshop space, vocationally tailored space and realistic working environments.

Work on the new campus is to begin in May this year and is expected to take 16 months to complete, opening to students in September 2015.
