Skanska selected as preferred bidder for building Papworth Hospital

Following a very rigorous bidding process that involved two different consortia, construction services company Skanska has managed to secure the contract for building the new Papworth Hospital when it relocates to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, a recent media news report has revealed.

Project Director Ken Brewer said: "While the two bids were both very comprehensive the assessment of the bids followed a very robust process which resulted in the selection of the consortium led by Skanska."
