The £260m Health Campus in Watford is one step closer to completion after developers put forward a hybrid planning application for this impressive regeneration project.

The hybrid application (part outline and plan detailed), comprising 375,000sq ft of hospital redevelopment space, retail and business areas, housing and public open space, were submitted following extensive community engagement with the local community earlier in the year, a news report in the local business media could reveal.

The project team also secured a detailed planning consent in December 2013 for the construction of a new hospital blue light link, which sits at the heart of the scheme and will improve access from the M1 to Watford Hospital. Work on the new link road is due to start towards the end of this year, taking around 18 months to complete.

After its completion, the Health Campus would also require the installation of top-spec, reliable integrated access control solutions across the site, and this is specifically where Access Control UK could put its extensive experience in this field to very good use.

Access Control UK employs a variety of access control technologies in order to create advanced solutions, enable users to exert solid, reliable and accurate control over the access to specific premises or zones.

If you’d like to find out more about the range of solutions supplied by Access Control UK, both in terms of hardware (smart card readers, biometric readers, turnstiles, etc.) and software (access rights management software solutions, etc.), just contact us, we’ll be more than happy to answer any queries you might have.
