New £18m Student Development opens in Liverpool
A new £18 million student accommodation facility in Liverpool featuring 323 purpose-built rooms in a mixture of en-suite flats and self-contained studio apartments has just opened in Liverpool, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.
The Glassworks project was developed on the site of a former glassworks factory, with construction work beginning in March 2014.
Andy Whatson, Director of Crosslane Student Developments, who owns and operates the new development, said: "According to Liverpool council’s recently published student accommodation review up to 34,000 students need accommodation in Liverpool every year. We are pleased that we are able to help meet that demand with our newly opened site at Vauxhall Road and are keen to explore other opportunities in this vibrant city."
