Construction work has recently started on a new leisure centre at Hough End, south Manchester, with the completion date being set for 2015, a news report in the local media can reveal.

The new leisure centre is one of three new leisure facilities planned for the city and will feature a six-lane swimming pool and learner pool, with sessions for adults, women, over-50s, children, after-school clubs, water-based exercise classes and aqua-natal classes.

The facility will also boast a state-of-the-art health and fitness gym, two squash courts and a sauna and steam room. A community room and dance studio will also be built providing a flexible space for events and meetings including baby and toddler sessions and youth clubs.

Given the specific use of the future leisure facility, the implementation of a solid and reliable access control and time and attendance solution should be something developers will have to take into account, and this is specifically where Access Control UK could put its extensive experience in this field to very good use.

Access Control UK employs a variety of access control technologies in order to create advanced solutions, enable users to exert solid, reliable and accurate control over the access to specific premises or zones.
