Carbon fibre manufacturer to build specialized facility at Narborough

Formax, a well-known manufacturer of carbon fibre and speciality composite reinforcements for the automotive sector, recently acquired premises next to its Narborough site for building a new specialized manufacturing facility, a recent news report in the local media has revealed.

The company revealed that the new 50,000 sq ft automotive production unit would be dedicated to the production of carbon multi-axial fabrics optimised specifically for high volume automotive applications.

Managing director Oliver Wessely added: "Our new facility here in the heart of the Midlands defines our position as a significant supplier to the automotive sector.

"We are confident our customers in the UK, and around the world, will reap the benefits of a dedicated production site in terms of enhanced quality and the supply of high-performance composite reinforcements.
