Automatic bollards can stop the majority of vehicles while protecting scrap yards
Another scrap yard has been targeted in a raid which police believe will benefit the black market. Thieves got away with metal worth thousands of pounds during a night-time break-in on a yard in Devon. They made off with a tonne of materials from the industrial estate. A police spokesman appealed for information, and added: “This is just the latest in a spate of thefts of metals which is a nationwide phenomena.”
Access Control UK has a number of devices and systems which help to make both outdoor and indoor facilities more secure. Automatic bollards limit vehicle access to a specific location and can easily be lowered when passage is authorised, typically within two to three seconds. Constructed out of concrete, stainless steel or other materials, the automatic bollards are constructed to completely stop the majority of vehicles. An access control device, such as a smart card, can be combined with your automatic bollards, enabling quick and easy raising and lowering of the post.
