A local council in London has approved plans for the redevelopment and extension of a local school site, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The development for St. John’s Primary School is part of a wider, £155 million redevelopment of West Ealing’s Green Man Lane estate. As part of this project, the school will receive a three-storey building capable of providing places for 630 pupils, 210 more than the existing facility.

Plans also include an expanded 100 place nursery and provision for 25 pupils with speech and language difficulties.

A rooftop play area will also be installed.

Funding will be provided by the council and is being subsidised by releasing the school to the developers for work.
