Plans for building a new assisted living scheme in Nottingham have received planning permission, with construction work set to start in the near future, a recent news report on this matter has been able to reveal.

The 58 apartment project is located in the suburb of West Bridgford and will feature 32 one bedroom and 26 two bedroom retirement apartments for people over 70-years-old. Additional facilities include a table service restaurant, a homeowners’ lounge, a lift and flexible care packages.

Director at Charterpoint, Giles Nursey, said: "I am delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing planning permission from Rushcliffe Borough Council for this assisted living scheme.

"The development has been attractively and sympathetically designed to create high quality accommodation for those over 70, helping older people stay independent for longer."

Considering the specific nature and the future use of the new site, the implementation of a solid and reliable Access Control system on the premises is certainly a must.
