A new library and customer service centre has opened in east London as part of a redevelopment scheme implemented by Newham Council, a media news source could reveal.

BAM Construction was in charge of the building works, and teamed up with architects Rick Mather to create the three-storey campus.

A second phase of the East Ham Civic Campus scheme will include refurbishing Grade 2* listed buildings including East Ham Town Hall, while a disused technical college will also be refurbished and turned into a 6th Form College.

Construction director Andy Mason said: "BAM is delighted to have completed this landmark building for Newham Council. A great deal of work was required from all parties to make this scheme happen.

"We have not let up on site, however, and are busy creating more excellent facilities for council staff and local residents."

Given the future public use of this new building, implementing a very solid and reliable access control system is a must, especially for those specific areas where access should be restricted.

Access Control UK employs a variety of access control technologies in order to create advanced solutions, enable users to exert solid, reliable and accurate control over the access to specific premises or zones.
