The National Aerospace Technology Exploitation Programme (NATEP) has just announced a second round of bidding for aerospace suppliers, set to open in January, that will enable more companies to apply for a share of the £40m funding pot to help innovate technologies for new products or manufacturing processes over the next four years.

The programme is designed to create or retain 1,200 jobs in this supply chain, supporting the aims of the Aerospace Growth Partnership to maintain the UK’s global position in the aerospace market.

Secretary of State for Wales David Jones said: "The global aerospace market is one that is constantly evolving and is one this government is fully behind. I would encourage businesses to take advantage of this new opportunity to get the additional support they need to help the UK to maintain its world leading position in this very important sector."

Taking into account the fact that the aforementioned companies are involved in an industry sector where the security of trade secrets represents a major reason of concern, the implementation of reliable access control solutions is also a very good idea for all of the companies that will manage to gain acceess to the respective investment pot, and that’s exactly where Access Control UK can put its extensive experience to very good use.

If you’d like to find out more about the range of solutions supplied by Access Control UK, both in terms of hardware (smart card readers, biometric readers, turnstiles, etc.) and software (access rights management software solutions, etc.), just contact us, we’ll be more than happy to answer any queries you might have.
