An 11-storey office block that will become the new head office of HSBC’s ring-fenced bank is set to be built in the heart of Birmingham, a recent news report has revealed.

The project has been recently granted planning permission by the Birmingham City Council and will provide more than 190,700 sq ft of office space as well as 13,450 sq ft for retail or restaurant use on the ground floor.

Work will begin on the development in summer. The building is expected to be handed over to HSBC in mid-2017 for occupation in 2018.
